Rio Mall County Commons
The newly completed renovation of approximately 70,000 sf of the Rio Grande County Commons Mall for the Cumberland County Improvement Authority consisted of a new 1600-amp service, backup generator, all new LED lighting, lighting control, branch power, security, and new fire alarm system throughout. This public use complex includes a Veterans Clinic, County Veterans Bureau, County Division of Aging and Disabilities Services, County Division of Social Services, County Division of Community and Behavioral Health, and a One-Stop Career Center.

Building Command Center
This project worked in conjunction with the ACIA Capital Improvement Project completed in 2016 that encompasses 2-1/2 miles of the Atlantic City boardwalk that was also designed and installed by Calvi Electric. The command center gathers images from 160 boardwalk cameras as well as cameras from various Atlantic City Housing Authority sites throughout the city thru a comprehensive fiber network.

As part of a 62M dollar modernization effort to their mainland campus, Calvi Electric Company was awarded the electrical contract to construct a two-story, 35,000 square foot Patient Ambulatory Care Unit (PACU) expansion, rebuild of the Mainland Campus front entrance, upgrades to the existing facility, and renovations of surgical operating rooms opened to the public in mid-June 2015. As part of the project, Calvi installed two new services with double-ended medium voltage switchgear, performed all the medium voltage distribution, 480V distribution, branch wiring, lighting control, and complete fire alarm system integration.

Kennedy Health System is a multi-site facility serving southern New Jersey with campuses in Cherry Hill, Stratford, and Washington Township, NJ, and at outpatient facilities and medical practices throughout Camden, Gloucester, and Burlington counties. Calvi Electric Company was awarded the electrical contract as a portion of this 80M project to construct a new medical office building, lobby, and parking garage at the Kennedy Cherry Hill Campus. Scope of work involved rerouting of existing MV power distribution, 480V electrical distribution, branch wiring, lighting control, and fire alarm system.

Built in conjunction with the Rowan College of Business, the 88,000 square-foot addition features more classrooms, more labs, and has doubled the architectural footprint of the engineering program on campus. The building starts with a sky-bridge, connecting the original engineering building to the new addition. The bridge connects on the third floor, giving students a view of the campus. Beyond the sky bridge, the building is separated by the different engineering specialties, the new building housing Electrical and Computer Engineering. The building included the modification to the current infrastructure, installation of a 2500a service, a new 400kw generator, solar array across the sky-bridge and project labs on the first floor. Calvi completed all electrical requirements for the project.

The New Rohrer College of Business is a four-story, 96,500 square-foot facility, located at the west end of the main campus. The facility includes a courtyard area, large student entrance hub, multiple classrooms, collaboration rooms, conference rooms, large specialty spaces, administrative and faculty offices. Calvi was responsible for all electrical requirements on the project including a new 2000A service, 250kw generator, fire pump service, fire alarm, telecommunications, and security.

TEN Atlantic City (formerly Revel) is the tallest structure in Atlantic City, the second tallest in the state of New Jersey at 710 feet, and the second tallest casino tower in the United States. Featuring a 150,000 square foot casino, two nightclubs, 13 restaurants, two live entertainment venues, and multiple swimming pools. The resort includes a 2-acre landscaped rooftop deck containing outdoor pools, cabanas, fire pits, and a Sky Garden with more than 30,000 live trees and plants. The casino is located six stories above the ocean, and a three-story nightclub overlooks the lobby. Calvi Electric Company completed contracts for electrical construction of the entire facility including the hotel tower high rise, casino low rise, power distribution infrastructure, and fire alarm system.

Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center is a multi-level, 125,000-sq. ft. meeting, an event center that offers every amenity possible for meetings, concerts, conventions, banquets, and private events. As part of Harrah’s Casino Hotel, the Waterfront Conference Center is the largest hotel-conference center complex from Baltimore to Boston. Aside from sophisticated power distribution, LED Dimming, Audio, and Video systems throughout the Conference Center, challenges were addressed while incorporating the new IT, Fire, BMS, Security, and Life Safety systems into Harrah’s existing systems.

This state of the art 800,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility houses an aluminum powder coating production line and a vinyl fence and rail manufacturing operations. The facility has over 200,000 square feet of warehouse with LED lighting and advance inventory control systems. Calvi Electric Company was chosen as the electrical contractor to take on the immense 2 year design build project. It entailed a massive electrical and mechanical demolition and renovation of the existing plant. The project involved a historic amount of overhead conduit, electrical busway and distribution to feed all the line equipment. Calvi undertook every aspect of electrical work including medium voltage pole line distribution, 480V distribution and branch wiring, fire alarm system, lighting and lighting control, teledata communication system, and security systems.
HOLTEC INT. MANUFACTURING
Warehouse and Manufacturing Buildings
Calvi Electric Company, as part of the revitalization of the City of Camden & the State of New Jersey’s Economic Development Holtec International, completed on budget and ahead of schedule the electrical construction of one 100,000 square foot Warehouse Building and one 330,000 square foot Manufacturing Building. These two unique buildings electrically costing in excess of 15 million dollars and requiring over 75,000 linear feet of feeder conduit to power the (11) Gantry Cranes, 4,500 linear feet of Busway and multiple Switch Boards were completed in 8 months. These two facilities were completed using our In house Engineering as well as 3D CAD design layout capabilities. The Manufacturing building in addition to having an office area contains a shower/locker room area as well as a cafeteria.

The new 5,000 square-foot William Hill Sportsbook at Tropicana replaces the temporary sportsbook that opened in October 2018. It features nearly 1,654 square feet of video displays with seating for 180. Calvi was responsible for all power, tele/data and security requirements.

Bally’s Hotel and Casino
All electrical requirements for the new 4,100-square-foot FanDuel Sportsbook were installed by Calvi Electric, including telecommunications, data, and security. The inside of the sportsbook features a central 25-foot-wide state-of-the-art LED video wall, flanked by two 10-foot-wide LED video walls on either side and 10 video displays. Fans can place sports wagers at five betting windows or use one of 20 IGT PlaySports self-serve betting kiosks.
